About
I am Andrew Wiggzaro Vise, a Chromatic Monochrome artist, photographer, and videographer based in Tunbridge Wells, UK, with deep roots in the Soutpansberg Mountains of northern South Africa.
Growing up on a farm, I spent my early years immersed in wild landscapes where close attention was not optional — it was a way of life. Those formative experiences continue to shape how I see, listen, and create.
My visual work focuses primarily on birds and wildlife, exploring moments of stillness, presence, and quiet authority in the natural world. Through my Chromatic Monochrome style of editing, I reduce visual noise so that the living subject may be seen in essence of what it is and in so doing, remain — not as spectacle, but as a being encountered. The work is less about capturing, and more about witnessing.
Alongside still photography, I work as a videographer, bringing the same sensibility of patience, rhythm, and attentiveness to moving image. Whether working with film, sound, or sequence, the intention remains consistent: to honour the subject and allow space for meaning to emerge.
Music has also been a constant thread in my creative life. From festival stages to intimate, conscious gatherings, sound becomes another form of listening — another way of entering relationship with the world. These disciplines are not separate; they inform one another through timing, rhythm, and restraint.
Across image, film, and sound, my work is an ongoing practice of attention — a quiet offering to the natural world.
